- Write your document as you normally would, save to it a known place on your google drive.
- Click on the File Menu and select Download.
- Choose the type of document that you would like to save your Google Doc as:
- Microsoft Word – DOCX – This is another highly common and shareable format for documents.
- OpenDocument Text – ODT – A less common opensource document format.
- Rich Text Format – RTF – A file format that can retain minimal formatting, but usage across most platforms.
- Portable Document Format – PDF – A static document type that can be opened on almost all device platforms.
- Plain Text – TXT – A text only format that can be read on all platforms, but contains absolutely no formatting.
- Hypertext Markup Language – HTML,ZIPPED – HTML Webpages that have been structured and compressed together.
- Electronic Publication – EPUB – Readable by special Epub readers, widely used for digital publishing of print books.
